Dear AAF-BR Members,
Welcome to another exciting year! Whether you are joining us for the first time or renewing your membership, we are thrilled to have you on board. As your President this year, I am truly honored to lead such a vibrant and dynamic group of advertising professionals.
This year promises to be filled with engaging events, insightful workshops, and opportunities to network with industry leaders. I encourage you to get involved, share your ideas, and make the most out of your membership. Your participation not only enriches your own professional journey but also strengthens our community.
We’ll return to our monthly luncheons at Juban’s with a fabulous lineup, kicking off with a previous Creative Strategist for Reddit on September 13. Luncheons are a great way to gain insight on various industry topics we’ve strategically organized for our members. In addition, we have several big changes coming this year.
This year’s Media Auction will be virtual only. It will run for a few days in mid-October, ending in a networking cocktail hour. Stay tuned for more details!
The second event to look out for is the American Advertising Awards. We’ve decided it’s time to shake it up with a change in venue and format. Your dedicated Board has already begun revamping this event. Mark your calendars for the October 4th luncheon; we will be presenting the new format with an outline of exciting upcoming things in store.
If that’s not enough, for the first time in 10 years, AAF-BR will host the District 7 Leadership Conference downtown on August 23-24. We’ve invited advertising professionals from across our district, making it an ideal opportunity to network and collaborate within our industry. Finally, as a special incentive to pay your dues early, we are giving away an AAF t-shirt! Simply submit your dues by August 31 along with your t-shirt size to claim yours. As an added bonus, we’re also hosting a t-shirt design contest! We will reveal the details for the contest at our September luncheon and give you the opportunity to showcase your creativity. And don’t worry if you miss the early bird deadline; t-shirts will be available for ordering once the winning design is announced.
