Dear AAF-BR Members,

Welcome to a new year with AAF-Baton Rouge! I’m honored to serve as your President and thrilled to have you as part of this dynamic community of creative professionals. AAF-BR has given me a deep sense of purpose and belonging, and I truly hope you’ll find the same inspiration and connection within our organization.

We’re coming off a standout year—earning recognition in all five AAF National Club Achievement categories. We’re also proud to share that our Executive Director, Lisa Thibodaux, received the prestigious Betty Riehl Excellence in Service Award, a testament to her unwavering dedication to our club.

Building on this momentum, we’re excited to roll out another incredible lineup of programming this year. From a refreshed approach to the American Advertising Awards to our most successful Student Conference yet, we’re committed to growth, education, and meaningful engagement with the next generation of talent. We’re also bringing back our monthly speaker luncheons—this time returning to our longtime home at Juban’s Restaurant & Bar. Mark your calendars and join us for a celebratory kickoff on September 12! In addition to our speaker series, we’re planning monthly socials, volunteer opportunities, and new ways to connect with peers across the industry. Be sure to check out our full calendar of events and start saving the dates (aafbr.org).

As always, our success depends on the collective effort of our members. This year, our incoming Board of Directors is focused on strengthening relationships and creating new opportunities to better serve Baton Rouge’s advertising community. Your involvement, whether through volunteering, mentoring, or simply showing up — makes all the difference.

Let’s continue building something great together. Bring your friends, invite your colleagues, and lend your creativity to making this the best year yet for AAF-BR.

With gratitude and excitement,

Kris Bordelon
President, AAF-Baton Rouge
