Dafina Dervishi  Graphic Designer / Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana

I am a designer with a history of working in the textile industry and skilled in art direction, layout design and photography. Earned my degree at Montclair State University in New Jersey for Bachelor’s of Fine Arts, concentration in Graphic Design. Although I lived in New Jersey for most of my life, I am originally from Kosovo, Europe. I moved to Louisiana about four years ago, and currently work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana as a graphic designer. I’m really eager and interested in meeting and working with cool and talented professionals, such as yourselves. I’m a very dedicated volunteer and you can count on me to get the job done! I’ve previously volunteered my design skill to help with the Media Auction Fundraising event, religiously attend the monthly lunch and learns as well as other annual events.

Rachel Harvey  Creative Director / Rotolo’s Corporate

Rachel Harvey is a creative powerhouse who flexes her muscles in design and visual communication. She was born and raised in Baton Rouge; and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts, concentration Graphic Design, from Louisiana State University. Since January 2014, she has been Rotolo’s creative guru, focusing on managing and developing the visual identity of the company. #pizzalife

Rachel is a long time member of The Professional Association of Design and represents Rotolo’s at the American Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge. She has been a member of AAF-BR for a total of 7 years. While at Rotolo’s, she received a Silver Addy Award for one of her cup designs. Rachel frequents the AAF-BR monthly luncheons and has helped sponsor several events through Rotolo’s.

Rachel is fun, sometimes funny, obsessed with typography, and slightly OCD… okay, not so slightly.

Will Heflin  Graphic Designer

Will Heflin is an LSU graduate who was worked as a graphic designer in the Greater Baton Rouge area for over 10 years. He first joined AdFed to meet other local creatives and to help with finding a job after a layoff at a former employer in 2009. After a short hiatus to focus on his career and family, he was drawn back to the group in 2015 and has been an active member ever since. He currently works for the University of New Orleans and the Louisiana Department of Health, assisting with a myriad of creative and technological needs. He has helped with the Addy awards for the past two years, and regularly assists with the monthly luncheons. If asked what the best part of being a member of AdFed is, he would probably tell you all the friends he has made while a part of the club, and the free VIP admission to 13th gate he’s gotten the past 4 years. He also plays bass guitar and loves comic books.

Emily Mastrantonio  Digital Media Manager / Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar

As the designated “young” employee at most of her first jobs, Emily Mastrantonio was tasked with handling the social media for those companies. As a result, she has grown with the constant transformation of media channels and now manages Walk-On’s Bistreaux and Bar’s social and digital media presence. Her stance on social: There’s a risk in not participating. Your customers are talking about you whether you’re there or not, and you need to be part of the conversation. Emily Mastrantonio has been a participant of the American Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge since 2016 – attending monthly meetings and winning a Best of Show Addy Award as co-writer for the Neighbors FCU Television Commercial “Louisiana Purchase.”

Nick Myers  Graphic Designer / Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center

Originally from Westlake, LA, I moved to North Louisiana after high school to pursue a degree in Fine + Graphic arts, concentrating in Graphic Communications. Shortly after graduating college, I moved to Baton Rouge and did contract/freelance work until I was offered the Graphic Designer job at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, which has been an absolute joy. In my free time, I enjoy anything active and outdoors – mostly biking and swimming (weather permitting). Fun fact: I’m an identical twin and I was in band/marching band for 11 years – middle school, high school and four years of college.

James Peck  Owner / The Pixel House

My name is James Peck. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge. I went to LSU where I received a Construction Management degree as well as a Bachelor’s in Studio Arts and Photography. I created The Pixel House to create stories and images for people and their businesses through photography and videography. I was introduced to the American Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge a few years back after attending an Addy award show.  I was instantly hooked. The talent of the entries and the commitment of the group was great and I wanted to be a part of the organization. I have been on the board for 2 years and would love to serve AAF-BR members for many more if chosen. Thank you.

Katie (Rogers) Rabalais  Graphic Designer / BREC

Katie (originally from Ohio) has been a Louisiana resident for 17 years. She graduated high school from The Runnels School where her creativity was encouraged and inspired her path towards a BFA in Graphic Design with minors in Psychology and Art History at LSU.

Katie has worked in the field of graphic design for 8 years, the last 5 being at BREC (The Recreation & Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge) – she currently serves as Artistic Manager (and one of the senior graphic designers) for the agency.

Meghan Reiners  Director of Marketing / L’Auberge Baton Rouge

BIO: Meghan Reiners started her professional career with White Knight Broadcasting in Baton Rouge, La. It was there she was named the youngest Promotions Manager in a top 100 Market and received national recognition with Fox44’s News promotional campaign. With over ten years of marketing and communications experience, Meghan started in the casino industry with L’Auberge Lake Charles and has sense received several promotions while gaining experience in numerous states with what is now Penn Gaming. Meghan currently serves as the Director of Marketing at L’Auberge Baton Rouge and is thrilled to be back in Baton Rouge while she continues to grow her career within such a great company.  

TESTIMONY: I was first introduced to ADFED as a graduating Graphic Design Senior of University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Immediately, found the worth in the networking opportunities which is why I jumped at becoming a member once my career brought me back to the Capital. Since, I have been able to utilize the membership to help grow and develop the young professionals at L’Auberge Baton Rouge. Also, love that ADFED provides the opportunity for me to immerse myself into the community and truly go full circle from student to professional.
