Campus Federal Credit Union is seeking an AVP of Marketing to join our team! The primary purpose of this position is to assist Campus Federal in our Mission, to enhance the lives of our members and the communities we serve. This is accomplished by providing excellent service to members and to team members.   A key component of this service is to identify member needs and provide appropriate credit union product solutions that will enhance the lives of our members.

This position will assist the Sr. VP of Marketing & Business Development by leading & directing a high performing Marketing Department responsible for creating and implementing integrated marketing campaigns and corporate initiatives to assist in accomplishing Campus Federal’s strategic direction. Additionally, it will oversee all advertising creative and development, product development, market and industry research, MCIF systems, social media platforms, the website and public relations initiatives.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Sr. VP in managing all activities of the Marketing Department on a daily basis.
  • Direct day-to-day activities with full service ad agencies including the production of all advertising and promotional materials, coordinate placement and distribution of the same (including lobby collaterals) for new or existing products, services and campaigns.
  • Direct the creation of all in-house advertising collateral using special ad creation software, including traditional and electronic brochures, flyers and promotional materials.
  • Develop marketing plans for online promotions of products and other marketing efforts.
  • Manage Social Media platforms and update the official Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn pages for the credit union. Respond to member messages, posts, or other communication on social media.
  • Manage Google My Business listings including both branch and ATM listings, reviews, and Google Search.
  • Manage all aspects of the website utilizing CMS including all content, rates, compliance, and creative concepts.  Develop landing pages and lead generation page for campaigns, products, or sponsors, as applicable.
  • Create and distribute all external and internal communications for members and employees.
  • Responsible for all staff and member communications in the event of a disaster.
  • Write and publish blog content for Campus Federal’s official blog in the ‘Learn’ section of the website.
  • Direct creative collateral for Business Development including flyers, financial education certificates, event invitations, brochures, and more.
  • Manage email marketing efforts including creating, scheduling, and monitoring email marketing pieces promoting products, services, and events.
  • Manage and monitor digital Onboarding Program, with adjustments based on response rates, product types, and best practices.
  • Responsible for tracking/analysis/budget control for the Marketing department.
  • Responsible for all Compliance issues and reviews regarding products and services, advertising and annual website and advertising audits.
  • Recommend improvements in value and effective delivery channels for the credit union’s marketing efforts.
  • Project Leader for various outsourced vendors, projects and other business units.
  • Direct and manage all department vendor relationships including electronic in-branch TVs, check and statement print vendors and a variety of third- party affiliate companies.
  • Work with Consumer Services on various service issues, outages, etc. involving their staff.
  • Assist Sr. VP of Marketing with Facilities decisions regarding branch design and branding elements.
  • Assist Sr. VP of Marketing to evaluate compatibility of third-party software interfaces.
  • Keep abreast of new product development, graphic design and marketing methods, including technology potentially available for delivery systems.
  • Provides clarity of direction and priorities, sets project priorities, and ensures deliverable are met on time and under budget.
  • Direct and oversee the Marketing staff to include: coordinate and direct daily operations, training of employees, coaching, monitor performance, time cards and attendance controllers, creation of performance plans, conduct performance reviews, conduct counseling sessions as needed, and ensure adherence to all credit union policies and procedures.

Education and Experience: 

  • Degree in Marketing or Communications field with direct supervision experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing branding and corporate communications.
  • Experience in financial service or retail industry is preferred.
  • Strong judgment and ability to remain agile and engage team members in a fast-moving environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
