Dear AAF-BR Members,

Welcome to a new year with AAF-Baton Rouge! I am deeply honored to once again serve as your President, and I am thrilled to welcome you to our dynamic creative community.

In 2025-2026, AAF-BR was named District 7’s Club of the Year, sweeping first place in Club Achievement across all five categories in our division. We also earned national recognition in all five AAF National Club Achievement categories.

Building on that momentum, we are launching an exceptional lineup of programming; from our signature speaker luncheons and the American Advertising Awards to our impactful Student Conference. We officially kick off our speaker series on September 18 at Juban’s Restaurant & Bar.

Beyond luncheons, we are planning monthly socials, volunteer opportunities, and new ways to network. You can view the full calendar and save the dates at aafbr.org.

In the spirit of full transparency, professional dues have increased by $10 per member this year to keep pace with the current economy and rising AAF National dues. Even with this minor shift, our club offers exceptional value compared to most professional organizations. Student dues remain completely unchanged.

Our goal of continued growth cannot be achieved without you. Our incoming Board of Directors is focused on fostering relationships and expanding opportunities to better serve Baton Rouge. To keep our community thriving, I encourage you to show up, bring your newest interns, and invite your oldest industry friends. Please consider contributing your time and talent to creating an ever-better AAF-BR!

With gratitude and excitement,

Kris Bordelon
President, AAF-Baton Rouge
