Designer’s Guide to Animation Workshop

Following the November 3rd Luncheon! Take your creative to a new dimension with animation! In the Designer’s Guide to Animation, hosted by Jamal Millner of M3:Grafix, you’ll get walked through some of the uses of animation in the advertising industry—including creating a little animation of your own using Blender. If you’ve ever been interested in creating motion graphics and elevating your designs but don’t know where to start, this is the workshop for you!
In order to get the most out of this workshop, follow the below guide to make sure you are prepared to follow along:
- Install the free Blender animation software and make sure it opens on your computera) blender.org/download/
- Download and save your favorite bold sans-serif to a folder on your desktopa) theleagueofmoveabletype.comb) fonts.google.com
- Bring a mouse- any will do. Working with a track pad is not recommended for this workshop.
a) Mac users are encouraged to borrow a 3 button mouse, but what you have will work.
b)If you plan to purchase a mouse. The Logitech – M510 is an inexpensive option. - Producing 3D graphics can drain your laptop battery quickly. Please make sure to FULLY CHARGED your laptop before the workshop.
