The Account Director will manage the Accounts team and work closely with agency leaders to execute Red Six Media’s mission of bringing out the best in brands and each other by building great relationships and helping clients succeed. It is critical that the Account Director earns both the agency’s and clients’ trust by presenting strong leadership, communication and strategic planning skills.

As the senior-most leader in the Accounts department, the Account Director must be well-versed in Red Six Media’s capabilities and processes and have a thorough working knowledge of all roles and responsibilities within Account Management. The Account Director must also be capable of participating in the business development process and helping to shepherd new clients into the agency while leading the Accounts team to deliver on expectations and business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure management practices within the department are professional, timely and in the best interest of Red Six Media’s profitability
  • Independently lead and make decisions that balance the needs of clients, agency goals and internal teams
  • Develop strong relationships and be a trustworthy resource for clients and fellow Sixers
  • Manage the Accounts Team
  • Account Management as needed
  • Financial Planning
    • Oversee and provide guidance as needed with the billing and AR processes
    • Keep agency profitability top-of-mind
    • Control costs such as account handling expenses, write-offs, and other un-billable/admin areas
    • Hold AMs accountable for executing on account plan sales strategies and personal goals
    • Produce financial reporting including client/project P&Ls, opportunities pipeline, revenue forecast and planned vs. actual billing
  • Leadership
    • Take direction from owners and implement in the Account Management department
    • Participate in Red Six Media’s leadership team Strategic Planning meetings
    • Set, execute and report on annual and quarterly goals for the Account Director and Accounts Team as they relate to Red Six Media’s annual and quarterly goals
    • Work with leadership team as needed to identify and create solutions for issues that arise not only in the Accounts Department, but for the agency as a whole
    • On behalf of the Accounts Team, proactively communicate department feedback to other department leads and provide solution recommendations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Concentration in Advertising/Marketing or related field required
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing and media
  • Comfortable, conversant and convincing across all agency capabilities – how each service performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing
  • Understand and abide by the agency’s core values and represent Red Six Media proudly

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of industry/agency experience, creative agency experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Workamajig software experience
